Wild Child Paediatrics

Zero Tolerance Policy

At Wild Child Paediatrics

We are committed to maintaining a safe and respectful environment for our staff, families, and children. We have a Zero Tolerance Policy for abusive, aggressive, or violent behaviour toward our staff or anyone in our clinic.

Unacceptable Behaviour

Aggression and violence can include, but are not limited to:

Verbal, physical, or psychological abuse, either in person or over the phone.

Threats or intimidation that cause a person to feel unsafe.

Physical actions such as pushing, hitting, or any form of direct physical contact.

Aggravated behaviours, such as throwing objects or using weapons.

Sexual harassment or assault.

Consequences of Breaching This Policy

Verbal abuse

Any verbal abuse toward staff will result in a formal warning, issued via a letter from the practice.

Repeat violations

Families involved in further incidents will no longer be seen at WildChild Paediatrics, whether in person, via Telehealth, or phone consultation.

Escalation

In cases of severe or repeated aggression, abusive correspondence or behaviour will be referred to the police if necessary.

Code of Conduct

All families and patients are expected to treat staff with respect. Aggressive or violent behaviour creates an unsafe workplace and will not be tolerated under any circumstances.

If aggressive individuals refuse to leave the premises when requested, the security may be called to assist.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in helping us maintain a respectful, professional, and safe environment for all.
