Urgent Support and Crisis Policy

At Wild Child Paediatrics
We are dedicated to providing planned, structured care for children with developmental and behavioural needs during scheduled consultations and business hours.
However, our practice does not provide emergency care or crisis intervention support.
We understand that children and young people can experience significant challenges, including mental health concerns, and that these situations may require urgent support.
If your child is experiencing acute distress or requires immediate assistance, we recommend seeking urgent medical care through your General Practitioner (GP), hospital emergency department, or specialised crisis services as outlined below.
Contacting the Practice with Urgent Concerns
If you contact us with urgent concerns, our administration team will make every effort to notify your child’s treating paediatrician. However, as our paediatrician is not available daily, there may be delays in response. It is important to seek alternative urgent care options in the meantime to ensure your child’s immediate needs are addressed.
